Copenhagen Concert Community presents Classical and Pop music in our Brewery & Taproom.
Zakarias Sanderson visits our Taproom with his solo project, a melancholic blend of post-punk and folk music, channeling his troubadour alter ego.
Zakarias Sanderson, who also fronts the no-wave/punk outfit Leizure and has played guitar and harmonica for Iceage, has recently embarked on his second solo tour.
Playing tracks from his band Sanderson & the Charabancs, which include folky waltzes, punk blues and interpretations of old classics. Armed with a deep voice and his acoustic guitar, he travels on like only a troubadour can, preaching his melancholic ballads.
The accordionists Gemini-Duo, twins Wanxu Zhao and Wanchen Zhao, moved from China in 2019 and have been living, studying and performing in Copenhagen ever since.
Beyond their work and studies in Copenhagen they have performed at Berliner Philharmonie, New York Carnegie Hall, Vienna Musikverein and many more prominent venues.
They will be performing acoustically in the brewery itself, amongst the tanks.
"Gemini Duo adds a completely new dimension to the chamber music genre, they convey large orchestral transcriptions as well as complex new music - without sheet music and with a communication between them that is almost only possible for twins."
Singer and songwriter Marianne Van Toornburg is full of mournful songs, fine
stories, melancholy, sweetness and pouring rain.
Previously performing in bands such as Sidewalk and Sweethearts, she is now bringing her solo work to our bar via the medium of a trio featuring guitar, bass and her enchanting vocals.
Politiken, Erik Jensen
”En samling klokkerene popsange, af den slags, der lyder som forgyldt melankoli…”
